Math Level I
Providing students with the skills they will need to form the foundation of their PSAT math knowledge. Based in Algebra I course content, and typically used by freshman level math learners, it is designed to focus on core concepts which will be necessary for classroom and standardized test success. The scope of learning includes, integers, order of operations, inequalities, functions, and basic geometry, as well as a deeper understanding of how to read and interpret word problems. This course is the basis on which all high school math classes are founded, and provides students with both integral math skills as well as higher order learning and thinking, all while being taught test taking strategies that will prepare learners for the SAT and ACT, but also the GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, and other graduate level requirements.
-
Math Level I Advanced
This course was created for freshman level students who are more confident math learners and grasp concepts easily. While still providing all the core Algebra I knowledge, this course engages the learner at a higher level, thus requiring the student to be challenged beyond the basic foundational skills. Often used for classes which teach Algebra I and Geometry in a single year, this course explores the nuances of specific shapes as well as advancing into higher level concepts such as radical equations and properties of roots. Providing this course to advanced math learners helps them move through material at a pace which suits their abilities, thus allowing them to attain a higher level of mastery.
-
Math Level II
This course is designed to be integrated into the learning of students who are enrolled in a sophomore level math course, most commonly Geometry, but it provides so much more. Since all high school math is grounded in a solid foundation of Algebra, this course reinforces the basics to ensure mastery, while also increasing understanding of the decoding of word problems and complex equations. It encompasses geometric parts and shapes, such as chords, circles, triangles, surface area and volume, while also ensuring students understand how to read histograms, do unit analysis, reduce radicals, as well as solving problems using ratios and proportions. The material is presented in a way that is engaging and simplified so students learn to stop fearing math, and instead they gain the confidence to easily conquer complex processes.
-
Math Level II Advanced
Created for students who are in honors-level sophomore math classes such as Algebra II/Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus, this course continues to reinforce the foundational Algebra and Geometry concepts, but moves through the material at a faster and deeper pace. While still requiring mastery in areas such as functions, exponents, and quadratics, it also includes logarithms, standard deviation, and physics. The structure also allows for stronger decoding skills in solving word problems, many of which are presented on the test in a manner meant to confuse the reader. Designed for students who enjoy the challenges of advanced math, it engages them in a relatable and thought-provoking structure, which is rare in a math program.
-
Math Level III
Designed for students in their junior year of high school, this course is the perfect accompaniment to those enrolled in Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calc, or higher. It again reinforces the basics to ensure students spend less time deciphering questions and more time solving them. Students will review core skills, such as in inequalities and probabilities, hone their geometry facts by understanding specialized shape rules, and reinforce their knowledge of advanced Algebra through lineal equations, functions, and quadratics. This course will begin before the student takes their PSAT, but will continue beyond that pivotal date and carry the students through to the SAT and ACT tests which will be essential to acceptance into top colleges along with high scholarship awards. It is the culmination of knowledge which will give the student all the skills they will need in college math courses and beyond.
-
Math Level III Advanced
For the truly gifted math students, this course will solidify understanding of core concepts by presenting them in advanced equations which challenge, yet also reinforce, prior learning. The material is for junior-level students who have progressed beyond the standard high school math courses and are seeking a test of their comprehension and logic skills. Among other concepts, it teaches calculus and physics equations in a way which allows the test taker to break down problems into attainable solutions, but still complete the work within a short period of time. Included in these videos is Ray’s understanding that while not all math may be enjoyable to complete, with perseverance and methodical steps, all problems can be solved using the basic skills which have been honed throughout the student’s years of math mastery.

Algebra I Readiness
Not only has the pandemic and asynchronous teaching led to learning gaps, but students who spend the summer without reviewing their math skills will often begin the school year at a deficit. This course is designed to refresh the knowledge gained in the previous year and strengthen the understanding of core Algebra concepts. It is a shortened course which can be completed in a matter of weeks. It can be accomplished over the summer, at the start of school followed by Level 1, or in conjunction with Math Level 1 to keep students on track for the school year.
-
Geometry Readiness
As Geometry classes tend to focus on shapes and angles, true understanding of the material cannot be accomplished without a strong foundation in Algebra. This shortened course was created to reinforce the skills needed to accomplish mathematical tasks required to master a Geometry course. It can be assigned over the summer to maintain knowledge, at the beginning of the year prior to starting Math Level II, or in conjunction with Math Level II so learning is done in tandem.
-
Algebra II Readiness
This course is an excellent refresher on the important foundational skills in Algebra. It begins with a review of fractions and decimals and flows through more complicated but necessary knowledge of quadratics, linear equations, and advanced exponents. As it is a condensed course, it can be used as a summer assignment to keep knowledge current, for student differentiation based on need, as well as in conjunction with Math Level II or Math Level III to ensure mastery of knowledge.

Essential Math
This course is designed to focus on reinforcing the critical skills and mathematical tasks required to master a Pre Algebra course. Proficiency in skills such as multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, inequalities, exponents and problem solving will increase overall math success. As a condensed course it can be used at the start of the year to refresh skill knowledge from previous years, for student differentiation, and in conjunction with our Algebra I Readiness or Algebra I courses.
-
Pre-Algebra
This course is designed to bridge the gap between traditional numerical mathematics and algebraic concepts. It begins by implementing critical skills from previous years such as order of operations, fractions, decimals, integers, number properties and problem solving. By the end of the course students will be introduced to and become familiar with foundational algebraic concepts including working with variables, expressions, equations, exponent properties, graphing, functions, compound inequalities and advanced problem solving. Assigning this course over the span of the school year will increase student fluency with higher level skills needed to thrive in Algebra 1.

Algebra I
The primary focus of this course is to address foundational math gaps that many students begin the school year with. We have taken our Algebra 1 Readiness course and expanded it to encompass substitution, literal equations, solving & simplifying multi step equations, finding and graphing slope & intercepts, direct & indirect variation, as well as factoring quadratic and polynomial functions. This course can be completed by students at their own pace throughout the school year, or for student differentiation for students using other SARA courses. Mastering this course will help equip students with the skill base they need to be successful in Algebra II & subsequent courses, as well on exams required to earn Algebra course credit for high school and graduation.
